Beginning April 14, 6:00 pm: Youth Spring League Basketball with Douglasville Police Department
Registration opens February 1 and goes through March 23
Douglasville Police Department and Douglasville Parks and Recreation are teaming together to host an 8-week Youth Basketball Spring League at the Alice J. Hawthorne gymnasium every Friday starting April 14 – June 2. Games will begin at 6 PM. Teams will be coed for ages 12-17.
This league is FREE of charge. Evaluations will be on March 24 at 6:00 pm.
Spots are limited to a maximum of 48 players, and jerseys will be given to each participant.

The Douglasville Police Department is having a 21st Concepts to Parenting class on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, starting at 6:30 pm in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room. We will have community leaders discussing various topics.
Please join us for an informative discussion that includes communication and relationship building as we discuss 21st concepts to parenting.
Our speaker will be leader and facilitator Alice Jackson, and Tara Nichols LPC.
We invite you to grab a mat and come join us. On nice days we will have yoga on our lawn, and on cold or wet days we will have it in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room next to the main building. This is a FREE class twice a month on a scheduled Wednesday evening that begins at 5:30 pm and lasts about an hour. Donate blood at the Douglasville Police Department on Tuesday, May 30, between 11 am and 4 pm to help Douglasville Police, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and Douglas County Fire/EMS Department beat our rivals in the competition, Haralson and Carroll Counties. There is only one location to donate and that is 2083 Fairburn Road at our Community Room. Sign up and donate and you will also receive a beach towel and t-shirt.

This will be a conference with the Rising Men, and all men (21 + years) are invited to attend. Men are also invited to bring their sons with them to attend together. This conference will cover several topics and highlight on men’s medical issues, financial planning, and family leadership. Dr. Marlon Hudson will be presenting and there will be more information forthcoming.
Breakfast and light snacks will be served.
We do ask you to R.S.V.P. in order to have the correct amount of food.
